Maintain Positive Attitude

It is far better to move very slowly than being stand still. The moment we stop, rust and dust will start settle on us. It is easy to clean the soiled body but it is highly difficult to wipe the dirt settled on our mind. Keeping our thoughts clean and spotless is most important when we are at rest.

So should we feel happy that we’ve grown through urbanization or feel sad for losing this greenery. Whatever the answer, one thing is clear; we can’t get anything without losing something.

This Garden lizard takes me back at least 25 years to those golden days. This was always seen as man’s enemy and we used to chase this like anything. When I see my young son playing with latest electronic gadgets I can’t stop wondering how much the world has changed in just one generation – within the same city. Without knowing how to play, my son has kept the “GOLI” (glass marble) inside the Locker – very safely.

Many of the practices set by our ancestors are mostly aimed at healthy living styles. Laying Rangoli (kolam) is an art to start the day Healthy but it is slowly losing its sheen these days. During my childhood days I remember seeing Ladies putting up many huge Rangoli arts in front of every house at very early morning hours. I hardly see any such activities now. May be our inquisitiveness have shifted to somewhere else!!
